Picture Day: A Day of Photos – YRC Report

On the 25th of October, at GCCS, all the school participated in Picture Day. Picture Day is a day where all the classes, students, staff and teachers get their photos taken by two friendly professional photographers . But, this year was different from other years our school has done this activity. Since Covid, we have only been able to take students’ individual pictures, but this year, classes have been able to take their full class photos again. At the start of Picture Day, before first recess, the kindergarteners went to take their pictures, so they don’t get their neat outfits dirty outside. After kindergarten, it went from the youngest class to the oldest class, and the students lined up in alphabetical order, by last name. Just before you got your photo taken, there was a mirror, where you could make sure you still looked photo ready, and the mirror had a message, saying, ‘You are awesome!’. That mirror made my day. Many students feel better about how their photos will come out, than others, but I feel, they will all come out amazing, because we are all unique in our own way!
