“Many people like helping each other. Why won’t we help our community?”
GCCS (Guelph Community Christian School) probably thought this and that is what we did.
Our school loves helping others. On the 13th of October, each student was given a bag to fill with the idea that they fill it with (ideally) non-perishable food. A lot of school families helped. The donations were collected in our school foyer before they were all picked up a week later and delivered to the Guelph Food Bank in downtown Guelph. This food drive was part of the ‘Fill-A-Bag’ event organised by the Guelph Food Bank. We collected over 75 bags and we are glad we could somehow help others!
