Our Board

Our parent-led Board of Directors is dedicated to a Christ-centred vision and excellence for our school community.

GCCS Board of Trustees

GCCS is governed by a Board of Directors which is elected by the membership of the school’s society. The members of the board meet most months and directly oversee the policies and the strategic planning of the school and also provide both oversight and support to the Principal who is primarily responsible for the daily operations of the school.

A note from our Board Chair

As we approach the beginning of another school year, the board is also anticipating a new year of growth and governance for the school.  Working closely with the administration, the board will continue to provide governance oversight for the school, supporting its health and growth.

In addition to the usual responsibilities of reviewing policy, finances, and providing support to the administration, this year the board will be providing guidance on creating a new strategic plan for the school.  There will be opportunities for community and staff input into this plan, and the board will work to bring all this information into a clear plan that can help guide the school.  The board appreciates your participation and prayers as we go through this process.

The board is always available to answer your questions.  Please do not hesitate to reach out.  If you are interested in joining the board, please reach out to board chair Scott Stevens.

Pledging to GCCS

Donation pledges represent the generous commitment of donors to contribute a specified amount of money to an organization over a predetermined period. These pledges can take the form of conditional donations, where payment is contingent upon the fulfillment of certain conditions, or unconditional donations, which are given without any specific requirements or stipulations.
