Our educational goal is to educate knowledgeable and competent disciples. We attempt to reach this goal by respecting traditional educational methods which have served our society well, while also implementing modifications in response to social change, well-tested research findings and our teaching philosophy.
GCCS’s teaching philosophy is founded on Christian beliefs such as:
Students at GCCS are evaluated on a regular basis using regular classroom assignments, periodic tests, and observations, as well MAP (Measures of Academic Progress). MAP is personalized assessment experience that measures individual growth and progress for our students.
The school also assesses the effectiveness of its program by participating in math contests sponsored by universities, and in science fairs and speech contests sponsored by local organizations. We also monitor how our graduates do in high school by talking with the students themselves and with high school personnel. The results of student evaluations are provided to the parents through newsletters, report cards, and parent-teacher conferences.
