High School Visit: A Day to Experience What High School is Like

Henry, Gr 8

On December 4th, the Grade 8 students at GCCS visited Woodland Christian High School for a full day experience of what high school would be like. It was an event organized for every Christian elementary school in the local area. At the start of the day, a few Woodland students put us in colour groups and gave us a tour around the school to explore the many different classrooms. We went to classes such as drama, history, geography, science, PE and visual arts. We were introduced to the teachers and they told us what their classes would be like. After some insightful tours of the classrooms, it was lunch time. They gave us a delicious lunch that consisted of cookies, juice, and Subway sandwiches.

I really enjoyed the trip to Woodland. Going to a new school can be stressful, but this experience definitely helped many of us because, even if we are not going to Woodland, it gave us a real insight into what high school is all about.

Pledging to GCCS

These pledges can take the form of conditional donations, where payment is contingent upon the fulfillment of certain conditions, or unconditional donations, which are given without any specific requirements or stipulations.
