On October 7, Grade 4 and 5 went to Mountsberg Conservation Area to learn about habitats. While we were there, we played games to learn about food chains. The games were fun but tiring. We went on a hike and saw lots of things including a black and yellow gardener snake, a blue salamander, 2 brown toads, very colourful trees, and a stinky swamp. We also went fishing with a small but powerful net. Our goal was to catch fish, minnows, frogs, toads, and tadpoles.
We all went there by bus. There were 2 parent helpers from our class. I am looking forward to going back to Mountsberg next year.
