Where– At weekly Friday Chapel
Why– It’s a fun thing to do. Each class does it, and it is a great memory to have. Also, the chapels are funny or nice to watch too.
How– The students were told to go in groups and discuss ideas for their chapel. Then, similar ideas kept popping up: small skits, music and instruments, time travelling, Old Testament Heroes of Faith. . . The song was done and organized all by the participants, same goes for the interpretive dance.
The School’s Thoughts: Something many of the Grade 8’s noticed is how much everyone enjoyed their chapel. Kids laughed at the funny parts, and were engaged in the story. Many also found the song performance and interpretive dance interesting and fascinating to watch. In addition, lots of kids said their thoughts afterwards too.
My Thoughts: The way our class organized and created the idea of this chapel is fascinating. Everyone had a role to do, and it all worked out. From the song performance to the end of the interpretive dance, everything was planned out carefully. I think our chapel will be a highlight from Grade 8 for many in my class, including me.
