GCCS Students Step Out for a Great Cause at Our Annual Walkathon

Our annual GCCS Walk-a-thon was a wonderful day filled with energy, community, and generosity! Students from all grades came together to raise funds in support of school programs and field trips that help make our school a vibrant place to learn and grow.

The excitement was palpable as students walked local routes around our school, enjoying the warm autumn air while encouraging one another along the way. Many students were spurred on by the fun walkathon incentives they’d earned raising money, including themed days, treats, and special activities that added extra determination to the day. From PJ / Stuffy Day to Pet Day, each incentive has since brought laughter, smiles, and memories that will last all year.

The walk-a-thon was about more than just fundraising—it was also an opportunity to build community and teamwork. Older and younger students cheered each other on, and families and volunteers supported every step along the way. Staff were thrilled to see students walking together, helping each other, and showing determination and enthusiasm from start to finish.

A huge thank you to all the families, volunteers, and staff who helped make the day such a success. Your encouragement, sponsorship, and presence allowed our students to shine and contributed to a strong sense of belonging and school spirit.

We are so grateful for everyone who participated in our Walkathon. Together, we raised important funds to support school programs and initiatives while creating an unforgettable day for our students.
