What a beautiful day it was for our first day back at GCCS! The excitement was contagious as friends reunited, smiles filled the hallways, and the familiar sound of joyful singing echoed through the school once again. Parents joined us for our very first chapel of the year, making it especially meaningful to begin the year together in worship and community. Our classrooms are alive, the halls are buzzing, and we are so thankful to be back together for another school year.
As we begin this new chapter, we are also excited to introduce our school theme for the year: The Lord’s Prayer. Throughout the year, we will thoughtfully focus on and unpack each part of this powerful prayer that Jesus taught His disciples. From “Our Father” to “Yours is the kingdom,” students will be invited to reflect on what these words mean in their everyday lives—how they shape the way we learn, play, forgive, serve, and care for one another.
This theme will be woven into chapel times, classroom learning, and daily conversations, helping us grow not only in knowledge, but also in faith and character. We look forward to journeying through The Lord’s Prayer together as a school community and discovering how it calls us to live with love, humility, and trust in God.
Here’s to a year filled with growth, joy, and God’s guiding presence at GCCS!
