Today our Kinder Ps had the privilege of leading chapel as they helped our school reflect on March’s Lord’s Prayer focus phrase: “As we also have forgiven our debtors.” Through music, storytelling, and joyful celebration, our youngest students beautifully illustrated what forgiveness can look like in our daily lives.
They began the chapel with a lively dance to the song Golden Rule. With smiles and enthusiastic moves, the students reminded us of an important truth: treating others the way we would like to be treated helps create a community where kindness and forgiveness can flourish.
Next, the class performed a charming play called “The Angry Bee.” In the story, the bee becomes upset and struggles with anger after feeling hurt. As the story unfolds, the bee learns that holding onto anger doesn’t help friendships grow, but choosing to forgive brings peace and restores relationships. It was a wonderful and age-appropriate representation of our monthly theme, helping us see that forgiveness is not always easy, but it is a choice that brings healing and harmony within our community.
The chapel ended in true kindergarten style—with energy, excitement, and celebration! The students closed with an enthusiastic performance to Forrest Frank’s Celebration, and as the music finished, confetti filled the air, bringing smiles and laughter throughout the room.
We are so proud of our Kinder Ps for leading chapel with such joy and confidence, and for reminding us all of the power of forgiveness. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs. Pinson and Ms. Woodcock for guiding the students and helping bring this meaningful message to life.
