Girls Soccer

By Sydney, Kiarah and Addie, Grade 8

This year the girls soccer team had a great season. The team was made up of Grade 6-8 students. During their after school practices they did many drills, runs and stretches. They practiced three times a week for three weeks to prepare for the tournament. The team worked very hard, and their work paid off. The first game, the girls won 4-0 against Kitchener. During the second game, the girls won 5-0 against Listowel. In the third game, the Guelph girls won again, this time 6-1 against Cambridge. They made it to the semi-finals in the tournament. Sadly they were just short of one goal in the semis against Brantford. They are all proud of what they accomplished. This team did very well and worked very hard during the tournament.

A shoutout to our team: Elise, Genna, Bentley, Addie, Sydney, Kiarah, Lydia, Chloe, Corinne, Carina, Heidi, Jessie. Emily, Ayleen, Hanna.

Thank you to our coaches: Mrs Scheerer, Coach Dave ad Coach Zach
