An Evening of Connection, Culture, and Celebration
Join us for an evening of great food, community, and fun at our Around the World Community Dinner and Live Auction!
This special parents’ night is all about connection—time to gather, build friendships, and celebrate the beautiful diversity within our GCCS community. Families who have volunteered to cook will host food truck–style booths featuring favourite dishes from around the world—a joyful celebration of culture, creativity, and fellowship.
After dinner, comes our live auction—featuring unique prizes and experiences in support of our school’s bursary fund, helping make Christian education accessible to more families. Perfectly timed for Christmas shopping, it’s a fun way to give back while finding something special!
Evening Schedule
5:30pm – Doors open for dinner, silent / online auction, and raffle
7:15pm – Dinner closes
7:30pm – Online auction closes
7:45pm–8:15pm – Dessert auction
8:15pm–9:30pm – Live auction

This event is a special evening designed to bring our school community together to share food, fellowship, and fun! By signing up to cook, you’re not only helping provide delicious dishes, but we also warmly invite you to attend and enjoy the evening yourself. You don’t need to serve your dish if you’d prefer not to — the night is all about socializing, and taking part in the live auction.
This year, our Around the World Community Dinner will feature an exciting Live Auction as the highlight of the evening — bringing together fun, friendly competition, and incredible prizes, all in support of our school’s bursary fund!
Online Auction:
Our online auction will run from Monday, November 24th at 9:00 AM until Saturday, November 29th at 7:30 PM — the night of our event! Even if you can’t attend the dinner, you can still join the excitement and bid on amazing items and experiences throughout the week.
Raffle: Guests attending the dinner can enter to win fantastic raffle prizes by purchasing tickets ($10 for a sheet of 5) available throughout the evening.
Dessert Auction: At 7:45 PM, indulge in our Dessert Auction featuring delectable treats lovingly made by members of our school community — a sweet way to support a great cause!
Live Auction: The evening’s main event begins at 8:15 PM, when guests will have the chance to outbid one another for unique items and experiences during our lively, fast-paced auction.
The vision behind our Around the World Community Dinner is to create a special evening for parents and friends to gather, connect, and enjoy time together—without children for the night! It’s an opportunity to build friendships, get to know more families within our school, and celebrate the gift of community that God has given us.
The theme “Around the World” reflects the beautiful diversity within our GCCS community. We are blessed with families from many cultures, and this evening allows us to share and experience a taste of one another’s heritage through food, stories, and fellowship.
Throughout Scripture, we see how often Jesus connected with people around the table—sharing meals, laughter, and meaningful conversation. In that same spirit, our hope is that this evening will be a time of joy, connection, and gratitude as we come together as one community in Christ.
Our live auction will add to the excitement of the evening, supporting our school bursary fund and helping to make Christian education accessible to more families. It’s also perfectly timed for Christmas shopping—offering a chance to find meaningful gifts while giving back to our school community.
